About Company
The client is a European travel agency providing an online platform for booking flights, hotels, and tours. The company operates in several EU countries and serves thousands of customers daily through its web and mobile applications.
Before
Before our QAs joined the project, the developers were engaged in integration testing and writing module tests. The absence of quality assurance resulted in increased bugs and issues encountered by clients during production releases. This led to longer turnaround times for bug fixes and hindered the overall development process.
Challenges and Solutions
Challenges
- Testing on different browsers and mobile devices was required.
- Inconsistent localization and translation issues.

Solutions
- Used the built-in option of WebdriverIO when running on different browsers and simulating mobile viewing for the web app, which, in turn, still required updating the tests due to a different logic with mobile viewing.
- Conducted localization testing, validating date formats, currencies, and error messages.
- Conducted rigorous performance testing under different load conditions to identify and optimize scalability.
- Built a complete suite of test cases in TestRail, covering all major workflows.
- Employed robust security testing to identify and address potential vulnerabilities, ensuring end-to-end encryption and data integrity.
